1946 The Dayton Company commits to giving 5% of its profits back to the communities it serves
1953 Dayton’s Commercial Interiors (DCI) begins to operate independently from the Dayton Company
1964 DCI becomes an authorized Steelcase Dealership
2000 Dayton/Hudson Corporation re-brands as Target Corporation
2000 DCI expands through acquisition into Madison, Green Bay and Wausau, Wisconsin and Rockford, Illinois
2004 DCI changes its name to Target Commercial Interiors
2004 Target Commercial Interiors acquires Re:Source Minnesota to strengthen floor covering offerings
2005 Opens Target Commercial Interiors retail concept store in Bloomington, MN
2008 Opens second retail store, on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis
2008 Becomes sole Steelcase provider throughout the state of Arizona through acquisition of Walsh Bros. and US Business Interiors
2008 Opens first Target Commercial Interiors: The Office Store, in Phoenix
